On February 2, Apple introduced the Vision Pro to the United States market. Many Apple Vision Pro users are currently using the device while operating a vehicle. A government issues warnings to them for this reason.
A warning message has been sent to Apple Vision Pro drivers
Pete Buttigieg reposted one of the viral videos on social media, showcasing drivers wearing Apple’s recently released spatial computing headset, prompting the warning.

“Reminder—ALL advanced driver assistance systems available today require the human driver to be in control and fully engaged in the driving task at all times,” Said Pete Buttigieg who is a U.S. Secretary of Transportation.
In the video shared by Buttigieg, a driver can be seen wearing Apple Vision Pro and hands should be on the headset while driving a Tesla Cybertruck. However, it is worth noting that the driver’s hands should ideally be on the steering wheel, but in this case, they are engaging with the headset.
A different Apple Vision Pro driver, X user @lentinidante, gained popularity for using the same interactive hand gestures to operate a Tesla while wearing the device. At the end of the video, he is reportedly pulled over by police. The driver verified to Gizmodo that the entire video was a comedic performance, although he admits operating the vehicle for approximately “30-40 seconds ” while wearing the headset in order to record.

According to Apple’s support documentation for the Vision Pro, users should “never use the device while operating a moving vehicle, bicycle, heavy machinery, or in any other situations requiring attention to safety.” If you use Vision Pro outside, Apple advises using it “only in controlled environments.”
“Avoid any conditions that can make you trip and fall, such as uneven ground or potential obstacles. Steer clear of severe weather, fog, rain, and other types of moisture if you’re outside. Roadways and other locations where there is a risk of collision with moving objects should not be used with Apple Vision Pro”.
Since the Apple Vision Pro’s launch in the United States on Friday, a number of YouTube videos have been uploaded featuring users of the headset navigating public spaces, using the subway, skateboarding down busy streets, and strolling through airport terminals.
